SciBarCamp registration is now open for the Toronto event on May 9. You can register by e-mailing me at the totally predictable address eva.amsen [at] gmail.com with your name and website and/or affiliation. I’m going to update the participant list this afternoon, but I can tell you that even among the 15 early registrants we have a wonderful variety of scientists, artists, and entrepeneurs again.

We are collaborating with Science Rendezvous this year, who have arranged for space at Hart House again. Science Rendezvous is organizing all kinds of other activities throughout the city all day, and we’ll try to coordinate things so that you can also attend some of their other awesome lunch-time or evening activities.

The program will be determined by the participants on the evening of May 8th. Going by the people who have signed up so far I can tell you that we’ll definitely be discussing Open Science and Science & Art. It’s also very likely that we’ll be talking about (science) writing/journalism/blogging.
