    It's a blog. I don't really know what it's about either.

I found out about this earlier this week, and that was perfect timing because it’s only this week: Geek Pop ’09
It’s a science-themed music festival on the internet. You can listen to songs at four different stages, some of which have very punny names (“Reproductive Stage”).

I can’t figure out how to make my work laptop play the sound through the headphones1, so I’ve had to revert to subscribing to the Geek Pop podcast on my iPod Touch, but if you or your computer are less stupid, you can listen to everything online until March 15.

[edited to add] Listening to the podcast now, and I recommend the funny Finals Fantasy by the Amateur Transplants (it’s about med school). lyrics

1 I plugged in the earbuds in the hole with a picture of headphones next to it, but the sound is still coming from the speakers. I guess I could fiddle with the settings, but after 2 years on a Mac I am completely impatient about stuff like that.

(It was a good break between DAP-12 deficient mice paper and the next paper in the pile over my desk). THANKS!

Fantastic! I remember a geek song “Who put the yo in the embryo (yo!)” brought the house down at a meeting once. I’m off to listen to more….
