“On March 3, President Obama formally asked the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) to develop methods to restore scientific integrity to the executive branch. In his instructions, the president put forth a set of guiding principles heavily informed by recommendations UCS presented to the presidential transition team this past winter. Through May 13, the OSTP will accept comments from the public to help shape its proposals.

There are a number of methods you can use to submit your comments to the OSTP on this critical issue:
1. Via the web: Visit the OSTP Blog to submit your comments as they may pertain to each of the six different principles outlined in President Obama’s memorandum.
2. Via electronic mail: Email your comments directly to scientificintegrity@ostp.gov.
3. Via postal mail: Send a self-addressed letter with appropriate postage to: Office of Science and Technology Policy, Attn: Scientific Integrity Recommendations, 725 17th Street, NW., Washington, DC 20502.
Note: Because of the short nature of this comment period and significant security measures subjected to federal mail, we encourage you to submit your comments electronically."
