In a parallel study, I added another datapoint to my previous observation (from the comments there) “I never get sick when I’m really busy and active, always in a down period right after.”
First day after two gigantically time consuming things are done and my head will not stop hurting… Okay, it’s not sick per se (just ow), but it’s a crash after weeks of high-strung activity.

          Ugh, that sucks.

Question: if a task I’ve been assigned makes me feel less awesome, and then I don’t get sick, can I market said task as a way to prevent illness?

Well, Cath, that might be a bad idea. You could get the urge to feel awesome about having such a wonderful idea.

And then I’d get sick… impeccable logic there, Bob.

At least I’d be rich and sick though.

I feel awesome too! but I crack that up to accidentally drinking coffee this morning. Accidental? yeah, i was exhausted and cracked under pressure, but good now!

          I’m a little worried I’ll get sick too now…

          yay, n=2!

I’m denying myself tea until this task is done. Which may turn out to be counterproductive.

Good to hear Cath. I feel a bit less awesome than yesterday but it might have to do with intake of beer and being up late ;)

You know, this is odd. Grrlscientist has been feeling ill (allergies + spring), but is now feeling awesome. Perhaps she’s living live backwards.

Åsa, I had a nasty sore throat yesterday morning, but that was due to shouting over the top of a very loud band on Saturday night! And I have a wee bit of a sniffle, but I think it’s just hay fever.

          Bob, I suspect it’s me who’s backwards!

ahh… Sundays can be quite rough :) Hay fever is something I have more here now… cotton…. is apparently something my eyes aren’t liking. Imagine that:!:! ;)
