Nature Network is a strange and wonderful corner of the internet. People who are arguing with you on one thread are simultaneously helping you set up your new computer on another. iLove it.

Having benefited greatly in the last few days from the NN pool of geeky know-how, I thought I’d set up a centralised forum for the questions and discussions that otherwise get spread over multiple comment threads.

So, if you have questions, or answers – please sign up!

Great idea. Did I mention that I did online Macintosh tech support (on the CompuServe network) for MacUser magazine in the 1990s?

Dear Tech Support: my camel is suffering from violent winds. I have tried the traditional remedy of centipedes boiled in wine, but that just makes the wind windier. Can you help?

Dear Henry, if your camel is suffering from violent winds, take it inside and seal up the doors & windows against the gale.

Yours helpfully and you are welcome in advance,

Put it on rollerskates and take advantage of the jet propulsion.

Martin, you really shouldn’t have mentioned that – you’ll spend all your time answering my questions now, just ask Richard and Henry!

A flatulent camel on rollerskates… just remember your goggles. You don’t want to get covered in camel spit!

Excuse me Henry – does this camel go to the station?

          Ta.

P.S. Attach a turbocharger to your camel’s windy exhaust. It will go much faster as a result.
