• Work Blog by Bronwen Dekker

I have returned from maternity leave, and will probably start out by blogging about work, as this seems All Very New again.

Global warming might be working in Woking. From the beginning of February patches of flowering daffodils, crocuses, bluebells and snowdrops have been popping up – all very pretty, but it does feel rather early…

Famous poems rewritten as limericks: I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud

There once was a poet named Will
Who tramped his way over a hill
      And was speechless for hours
      Over some stupid flowers
This was years before TV, but still.

      Taken from LimerickDB

      …………………….
My favourite of all of the limericks on this site is:

There once was a [person] from [place]
Whose [body part] was [special case].
      When [event] would occur,
It would cause [him or her]
      To violate [law of time/space].

      And Alain really likes:

There once was a gal from Peru
whose limericks stopped on line two.
