I’ve just received one of the worst press releases I can remember seeing for a while. Here’s the headline:
As the credit cruch [sic] continues to take hold, many thriving businesses are starting to feel the pinch in profits as the cost of operating rises, yet the need for more staff seems inevitable. Dr Lisa Turner PHD is warning that business owners across the country are at risk of selling themselves short by not capitalising on the extent of their own abilities before taking on extra staff and as a result may be “putting the very survival of their business at risk”.
Well, no, Lisa, the need for more staff does not seem inevitable. What most people do in a cruch (or even a crunch) is get rid of staff and not worry about the consequences.
It seems that Lisa’s personal mission is to free peoples’ minds and help them evolve. Her approach is based years of research into the latest scientific, psychological and spiritual thinking on what it means to be human in the 21st century. Oh boy. Let’s all go and evolve. Right now!
So now Dr Lisa runs Psychademy (vomiting noise off) which provides leading edge personal and business transformation products, services and trainings.
Trainings?
I think training is an excellent thing to do in a cruch (sorry, crunch), though few companies have the wisdom to do so. But I am afraid there are better things than the NLP, Time Line Therapy® and Hypnosis Lisa has on offer. Many things.
So, not just Dr Lisa Turner, but Dr Lisa Turner PHD, noch? That’s what I call an ology.
Indeed. Apparently Dr Lisa (why do I think of the Simpsons?) used to be a lecturer in Aerospace Design or some such before turning to this, erm, what can I call it? Can’t think of anything polite enough.
‘tosh and piffle’?
