I got a leaflet in my mail today about applied stats courses in Reading. One of them is Basic Statistics for Social Researchers, which makes me wonder whether they have web-based courses for anti-social researchers.

I was always amused/alarmed by the undergraduate course offered in Cambridge that was called something like Introductory Mathematics for Biologists.
I was wondering why someone so well educated would need help with his reading.
There’s a whole university dedicated to the subject. Those who graduate with higher degrees are even allowed to become readers.
Maybe one day I’ll be ready to be a Reader in reading at Reading.
