I have arrived back to Dresden after a month in the UK, just in time to see Carlos Condat, from the Universidad Nacional de Cordoba, in Argentina, who today gave a talk at the university entitled Modelling Tumor growth and therapy.

      Some interesting facts:

      • Tumour cells move faster if nutrient concentration decreases
      • It is an advantage for a tumour to have a big necrotic core (the material left by deceased cells, mostly as a result of non apoptotic cell) since it allows a tumour with less cells to have access to more nutrient due to the bigger volume.
