If you are in France, it’s time to celebrate science:
La fête de la science it’s going to start in the whole Country.
From Friday the 14th to Sunday the 23rd of November more than 3000 projects will be held to explain science to schools but not only. Anyone is welcome to join the scientific world and attend conferences, visit labs, play science in ateliers.
I will participate for the first time (as public) and I really look forward to it. From an organisation point of view I think it will be a nice surprise. Even if organised by the government, any region will be responsible for the local schedule of events. Therefore people involved in it will be aware of the work of local labs, and this will hopefully allow us to go a bit deeper in any project. Instead of just explaining what are chemistry, biology or physics, we will learn about complex fluids or techniques used to explore the brain, to cite just a couple of ateliers that will be held in Grenoble. The whole scientific community located in Grenoble (ILL-EMBL, CEA, CNRS, MINATEC, the Universities…) will participate and share their knowledge to make science more understandable to anyone and to transmit curiosity to young people. Same goal in whole France.
So, I will be there. And you?
