My Ph.D. was studying the role and regulation of a stress activated, alternative sigma factor in the Gram positive organism Bacillus subtilis.
I currently work on a protein called FNR in E. coli. FNR is a regulatory protein that controls the switch between aerobic and anaerobic growth.
