I love reading about science. For as long as I can remember, I have inhaled every scientific magazine I could get. I am beginning to consider the various career paths available to me after I complete my PhD. Fortunately, there are many options out there that will allow me to read and think about science.

When I am not thinking or reading about science, I love to do anything outdoors. Hiking, camping, swimming, fishing. In reality, I don’t have enough time to do these as often as I would like. Last year, I trained for and ran the 2007 Boston Marathon because it was on my list of “things to do before I die”. Much to my surprise, I am now a running addict. I can no longer run with my dog, she isn’t fast enough ;) There is no better way to relieve stress! Well, maybe knitting… I am generating the most incredible yarn stash!
