Get down to the Serpentine Gallery tomorrow. The spiralling summer pavilion alongside the gallery will host 24-hours of experimentation. Artists, scientists and architects will take turns at wowing an increasingly lethargic audience with ‘table top experiments’. It follows on from a similar event last year, which might be dubbed a 24-hour interviewathon.

Having been to the Friday evening experimnts leading up to this (for which I have been meaning to blog), I was intending to attend some of this – and may still get to the Sunday stuff. My main disappointments are the price (the website did have a price of £25 per day (some £35 weekend tickets were available), which is a wee bit on the steep side), and its not 24 hours, either continuously or in total, though in their promotion of it in the run up events, they seemed to be fudging that by saying that an online thing will be happening for 24 hours – which is cheating really.
I was all ready to get there for about 11pm on Saturday, as well…
It’s a good lineup though, a novel format and an interesting mix, so I hope it works and hope it is supported. I’d love to hear what other people make of it, and for reports on what happened.
