Musings on London science, from the biggest London obsessive you'll ever meet.

    • How was it for you?

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Lamb last night for the fourth Nature Network London social evening. The event is getting bigger each time as word of mouth spreads.

The forty or so people who assembled for a beer and a chinwag represented a diverse cross-section of the local scientific community. So one minute you might have found yourself talking to a particle physicist, the next to a geneticist. Attendees also came from many different institutions. Imperial, UCL, NIMR, Cancer Research UK, Wellcome Trust, the London Development Agency and, Nature, of course. One person even brought her mum.

Let us know if you enjoyed the evening, and whether you made any useful contacts. The next one is on the 25 July.

Sorry to have missed it, I was watching the last episode of the Sopranos… Also not able to make the next one, drat! Hoping to see some peeps at the UK GRAD, UK HERD, and NRSA conferences in September though?

As usual I had a really good time! The atmosphere was great and Li-Kim was brilliant at introducing people to each other.

I am not that adept at the mingling thing, but at each event I have met at least one interesting new person and had a good conversation with them.
