DESCRIPTION:Our new book salon kicks off! Jennifer Rohn of Lablit.com will
preside over a monthly evening dedicated to great fiction books that featur
e science at their heart. Check this website for each month's book selectio
n\, then drop into our bar to discuss it with other fiction lovers.
\n
\n*
 _June's book_*
\n
\nThe first book is The sun and moon corrupted\, the bran
d-new book from Philip Ball. A young journalist\, Lena Romanowicz\, goes in
search of Karl Neder\, a provocative physicist whose discovery of a new en
ergy source made him an outcast. In order to find him she must follow his t
rail from the castles of Transylvania to the rocket labs of NASA\, from Vie
nnese cafés to the blasted borderlands of the Soviet Union. But as Lena ch
ases his story across the world\, she is also trying to outrun the buried m
 otives that drive her.
\n
\nThe first fiction lab will feature a special ap
pearance by the author of this month's selection. Philip Ball will drop by
after the main discussion to chat more about his book with the group.
\n
\n
