DESCRIPTION:Join RI Director Baroness Susan Greenfield for the launch of he
r new book exploring the threats to our individuality from modern living an
d what we can do about it.
\n
\nWhat effect do video games have on our chi
ldren's minds? How much information do the government and big companies rea
lly know about you? Our individuality is under the microscope as never befo
re. Two huge forces - new technologies and old ideologies - are\, in their
different ways\, threatening our minds. We have never more urgently needed
to look at what we want for ourselves as individuals\, for our children and
  for our future society.
\n
\nDrawing on the latest findings in neuroscienc
e\, Susan shows how far we are in control of the development of our brains
and minds - and looks at how we can promote our individuality and find fulf
 ilment.
\n
\nThis event will explore what it means to be human in a world o
f rapid change\, where we face an inspiring challenge to embrace creativity
  and forge our own identities.
\n
\n
