DESCRIPTION:CNS drug discovery continues to be one of the key growth areas
in modern pharmaceutical research\, often bringing with it particular chall
enges in the areas of pharmacokinetics\, animal models and translational me
dicine/clinical predictivity . In addition to more traditional areas of CNS
investigation e.g. pain relief and treatment for depression\, changes in l
ifestyle and increasing longevity have opened up new challenges e.g. treatm
ents for Alzheimer's Disease and Parkinson's\, and for complications associ
ated with obesity. This one day meeting aims to showcase real case historie
s and emerging technology as well as have experts address the latest develo
pments and future prospects in CNS drug discovery. The meeting will be of i
nterest to all medicinal chemists and other scientists involved in preclini
cal drug discovery disciplines in the area of CNS disorders.
\n
\n*_Program
