 tsky: One of the country's leading commentators on economics\, he was forme
 rly Economics Editor and is now an Associate Editor of The Times. He has wo
 n many awards for his financial and political journalism. Before joining Th
 e Times\, he worked for 12 years on the FT. \n\n\nThe Rt Hon Oliver Letw
 in: MP Conservative MP for West Dorset. His former appointments include Sha
 dow Chief Secretary to the Treasury\, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer an
 d Shadow Secretary of State for Environment\, Food & Rural Affairs. Since D
 ecember 2005\, he has been the Chairman of the Party's Policy Review and Ch

 f five books including â€˜Slaughterhouse: Bosniaâ€™ and â€˜The Failure of T
 he Westâ€™. \n\n\nFrances Cairncross: Rector of Exeter College\, Oxford.
  Formerly on the staff of The Economist and past President of the British A
 ssociation for the Advancement of Science. Her books include â€˜The Company
  of the Futureâ€™ (2002). Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and 
 an Honorary Member of the BA. \n\n\nThe debate will be chaired by Andrew
  Neil Publisher\, editor\, writer\, broadcaster and business consultant on 
 media matters. He is Publisher of Press Holdings\, owners of The Business i
 n London and The Scotsman in Edinburgh. He also presents BBC TV's â€˜Daily 
 Politicsâ€™ and â€˜This Weekâ€™. During his career\, he has been editor of 
 The Sunday Times and UK Editor of The Economist.
