DESCRIPTION:Women Deliver is going to be a different kind of conference.  W
 e are marking the 20th anniversary of the global Safe Motherhood Initiative
  by bringing together experts and creative thinkers in not only maternal he
 alth and mortality but also human rights\, gender\, HIV and AIDS\, educatio
 n\, micro-enterprise\, sexual and reproductive health\, including family pl
 anning\, and more.
\n
\nThis broad\, international community will make Wome
 n Deliver a vibrant demonstration of how health\, gender equality\, and dev
 elopment are inextricably linked.  Women Deliver will present data and shar
 e evidence\, including case studies\, to document the contribution of women
  to national well-being. 
\n
\nWe will show how\, with adequate funding and
  political support\, programs and policies can deliver the promises the int
 ernational community made during the International Conference on Population
  and Development +5 process and in the Millennium Development Goals and the
 ir targets.
\n
\nFor three days\, more than 2\,000 people\, representing mu
 ltiple sectors and programs worldwide\, will deliver interactive workshops\
 , presentations\, and exhibits.  Attendees will promote cross-cutting inves
 tments and partnerships with high level delegations from at least 30 countr
 ies\, including parliamentarians\, Ministers of Finance\, Ministers of Plan
 ning\, and civil society representatives.
