Jane Smith, head of Library Collections and Services, introduces the new developments in the Library. This is followed by talks by Collection Development Managers Judith Magee, who takes a closer look at Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace, and Ann Lum who goes around the world with the Challenger. Museum Archivist, Polly Tucker concludes the evening with a talk on travelling through time.

Discover some highlights of the Museum’s scientific research in this series of six evening lectures. Each lecture explores the work of a scientific department with an introduction by the department head, followed by fully illustrated talks from scientists and research staff.
Lectures begin at 19.00 and end at 21.00. Doors open at 18.00 for light refreshments and the chance to view a selection of Museum specimens. Suitable for adults and children aged 14 and over.
