Description

One-day seminar organised by IChemE’s Energy Conversion Technology Subject Group and co-sponsored by IChemE’s Coal Utilisation Subject Group, Coal Research Forum and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers

Economic evaluations for the implementation of carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology in fossil fuel power stations usually omit one or more of the four processes already available or being developed. Each of these processes is supported by at least two major international companies.

To help those considering the implications of fitting CCS, this seminar will bring together on the same platform proponents of all four technology options.

The event will also include the Energy Conversion Technology Subject Group’s AGM. All members of this Subject Group are invited to submit nominations for membership of the Committee. Nominations should be submitted to Tony Bridgwater, Secretary of the Subject Group, in advance of the meeting. Each nomination should have a proposer and a seconder.
