Description

Orang-utans share 97 per cent of their genes with us. They are thoughtful, inventive as well as cultural, yet they face imminent extinction. Biologist Willie Smits, co-founder of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, has saved more than 1,500 of our long-armed cousins, returning hundreds more to the wild. Join him to explore their past, present and precarious future and to discuss how protecting the climate and the environment could rescue this endangered species.
