Description

As part of the LAPADA London Fair 2008, Dr Sandra Knapp, Botanical Secretary of the Linnean Society presents this unique addition to our programme.

As Europeans discovered the world beyond their shores, observations and collections of the plants and animals of far-off lands truly changed their view of how the world works. Collecting is still undertaken by today’s scientists and natural historians and continues to play a key role in our understanding and conservation of the diversity of life on Earth. Illustrated with antique prints and maps.
