Description
The NC3Rs is working with the BBSRC to increase investment and awareness in tissue engineering as a means of replacing animal models.
Following on from the successful funding priority call in tissue engineering, the NC3Rs and BBSRC are hosting a one day meeting on 30 April 2008 in central London to highlight the potential of tissue engineering as a scientifically robust means to replace animals.
Working closely with Professor Kevin Shakesheff (Nottingham University) and Professor Robert Brown (University College, London), we have put together an exciting programme of speakers from academia, industry and the regulatory authorities.
The focus of the meeting will be to facilitate multi-disciplinary communication and collaboration and registration is open to researchers in the tissue engineering field and in vivo researchers who are interested in adopting tissue engineering approaches in their research. The meeting is FREE to attend, but registration is essential. The closing date for registration is 4 March 2008. All enquiries regarding the meeting should be sent to enquiries [ at ] nc3rs.org.uk.
