Description

What happens when you get a bunch of hackers and social innovators together, give them a set of social problems and only 48 hours to solve them? We’re going to find out.

In London between 4-6 April 2008, Social Innovation Camp will bring together some of the UK and Europe’s top web professionals and social innovators to find solutions to social challenges, using easy-to-build web 2.0 tools.

We want your ideas
We’re looking for the best ideas that use the web for social change. You can enter your idea through our website: www.sicamp.org.

Anyone can send us their idea. You don’t need to be highly technically-skilled, have worked in a social enterprise before or have experience starting a new venture before, although we’re after submissions from all those people as well.

Your idea has to be focused on addressing a specific social need – the technology must be central to its purpose and it must be innovative. We’ll be selecting the best ones to come to the Social Innovation Camp event, where you will meet people with the skills to turn your idea into a new social venture.
