Description
Computers are making huge impact in all aspects of our lives. It is no different in the area of surgical and medical training. Learning from the successes of using computer generated simulation as a training tool in the Airline Industry tremendous advances are being made in surgical and medical skills training using similar technology.
Today a trainee can learn set surgical skills on a simulator or role play and experience medical scenarios in a realistic although virtual environment before interacting with an actual patient.
In the future more and more training will be underpinned by computer technology. The requirement today is to develop the platform to take full advantage of new and emerging technologies in virtual reality so our health professionals are trained to a greater level of skill, experience and knowledge.
