This half day seminar, organised by the Energy Institute and the EI London and Home Counties Branch in association with Atkins, will examine aspects of actions needed and being taken to manage energy usage and control climate change. The seminar is chaired by Andrew Warren FEI, Director, Association for the Conservation of Energy and speakers include:
• Meeting carbon targets through energy efficiency – Delvin Lane, Senior Account Manager, Carbon Trust
• Energy management in practice – barriers and opportunities – Julius Brinkworth, Sainsbury’s
• Tradeable energy quotas – Derek Smith, Mole Valley Climate Change Awareness
• London skills shortage – Professor Tony Day CEng FEI, Professor of Energy Engineering, Department of Engineering Systems, London South Bank University
• Skills in the power sector – Dr Martin Grant CEng MEI, Managing Director, Atkins Power and Nuclear
• Smart metering – Professor Martin Fry CEng FEI, Martin R Fry and Associates
