Description
Can chemical engineers learn from other engineer’s and scientist’s approach to the control of major hazards? Two industries will describe their approach to identifying, monitoring and addressing the hazards associated with the equipment used and the personnel involved in their processes. The emphasis will be on establishing the frequency with which potential hazards become a reality and consequently establishing the risk level of the operation and how the risk is monitored and controlled on a continuous basis. The industries presenting their views are the civil aviation industry and nuclear power industry.
