Description

A Skeptics in the Pub event.

Prof Chris French will be giving us an investigation into the reincarnation claims of the Druse. The Druse are members of a religious sect founded in 1042, who live mainly in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Israel, whose key belief is that, at the very moment of death, the soul is reborn in the body of a baby. Most Druse do not remember their past lives, but it is said that those who met a violent and traumatic end carry those troubled memories with them. Reincarnation is central to the way the Druse live, their word for it meaning to “change one’s shirt”.
