Title : On Nadel’s multiplier ideal subvarieties and Futaki invariant
Abstract: I will discuss extensions of Nadel’s results on the multiplier ideal subvarieties induced from continuity method and Futaki invariant in the case of toric Fano manifolds. This is joint work with Akito Futaki.
At 10.45 am, Sergio Lukic (Rutgers Univ)
Title: Balanced Metrics, Quantization and Path Integral
Abstract : Far-reaching existence theorems for Kaehler-Einstein metrics, Hermite Yang-Mills connections and special Lagrangian submanifolds are a distinctive feature of Kaehler geometry. In physics they are fundamental objects in N=1 string compactifications. In this talk, we will review novel methods for approximating some of these objects to a high degree of accuracy from a physics perspective, using the language of quantization. A path integral analysis of the Bergman kernel will be given.
