Description

Emily Jackson joined the LSE as a Professor of Law in 2007. She also worked at the LSE between 1999 and 2004, and then left to become a professor at Queen Mary, University of London. After graduating from Oxford University, her first academic post was as a research officer at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies in Oxford. She then worked as a lecturer first at St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, and subsequently at Birkbeck College, London. Emily’s research interests are in the field of medical law. In addition to publishing in this area, she is a member of a number of regulatory and advisory bodies, such as the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, and the British Medical Association Medical Ethics Committee.
