Description
Join us for this exciting event when our Director, Baroness Susan Greenfield, will begin a new series of evening events in which she’ll interview prominent figures, from both the scientific and cultural worlds, in an informal atmosphere.
First in the interview chair for this series will be Adam Hart-Davis. He’s a photographer, writer and broadcaster best known for revealing what the Romans, Victorians, Tudors & Stuarts, Greeks, Egyptians, and others did for us. Adam began his career as a publisher, researcher and producer before moving to the other side of the camera as a presenter. Over his years of television and radio presenting he’s learnt about such diverse topics as inventions, the cosmos and how London was built.
Adam is also a writer whose latest books cover everything from space to the science of everyday life. He’s also written numerous articles and columns for newspapers and magazines, collected loads of awards and medals, honorary doctorates and an honorary membership in the British Toilet Association. He has no car, but four bicycles, which he says he rides ‘slowly but with enthusiasm’. Find out more about Adam Hart-Davis’ personal and professional life in this intimate, yet fun evening.
