Description
Join us as we split open some Welsh rock live in the studio and reveal what lies within. Discover the beautiful and obscure animals that cruised through the volcanic waters of Wales 450 million years ago during a period known as the Ordovician radiation.
When not working as a Science Educator at the Natural History Museum, paleontologist Joe Botting likes to spend as much time as possible digging up fossils in Wales. Over the past ten years, he has unearthed a multitude of new and exciting animals from the Ordovician Radiation. This was a period in time when life diversified and flourished like never before. Joe’s discoveries are helping us to learn more about why this happened and casting new light on the similarity between modern deep sea communities and the animals and systems that existed 450 million years ago. Join us as we split open some Welsh rock live in the studio and reveal what lies within.
