Description

Showcasing the diverse work of artists from design, architecture and textiles backgrounds, the common thread being that they are all trying to help save the planet. Many of us are coming to terms with the fact that environmental damage is more advanced than we thought, while governments slowly turn to climate change and look at recycling and carbon offsetting. Is this enough, or do we as individuals need to engage with a grimmer reality? Among the artists, Michiko Nitta takes current green trends to the extreme, by proposing a community called Extreme Green Guerillas where animal messengers replace mobile phones and modified urban vermin is preferable to free-range organic chicken. There will be artists’ talks as part of the exhibition
