Description
Environmental issues are posing big questions for the mobile communications industry, from the recycling of handsets and powering of chargers to the siting of mobile masts. This event is the public launch of an online debate, hosted by spiked and sponsored by O2. It takes a hard look at the measures that the industry is now taking and planning – in cooperation with other corporate sectors and government – to reduce its carbon footprint.
What is the best way to manage the future of mobile’s impact on the environment? How far should companies go to educate their customers on environmental issues – whose responsibility is it anyway? And what difference can the various initiatives make? Who will really benefit from them?
