Description

Speaker: Professor Bjorn Lomborg
Discussant: Dr Simon Dietz
Chair: Professor Gwyn Prins

Current policy proposals on global warming tend to focus on early and strong greenhouse gas cuts, although these will be very expensive and help very little. Lomborg suggests that we should focus on long-term, smart strategies.

Bjorn Lomborg is director of the Copenhagen Consensus Centre at Copenhagen Business School. Simon Dietz is a lecturer in environmental policy at LSE.

This event is supported by the LSE Annual Fund.
