Description
This is planned as a joint workshop of the Westminster Business School and the School of the Built Environment and has been organised in association with the European Institute for Construction Labour Research (CLR). The seminar will seek to address the critical situation with regard to Vocational Education and Training (VET) for the construction industry and to consider proposals for establishing a comprehensive system, one which seeks to overcome the fragmented and narrow skills structure. Given the large number of building developments proposed or in place, high levels of labour mobility and increasing skill demands, this is a subject of considerable urgency.
