Description

Smell and Taste – the chemical senses. They carry meaning to perceive and evaluate reality, but also evoke memories, feelings, and desires, and the power of olfactory sensations seems almost magical to many of us. The chemistry behind these, however, is no mystery.

Building upon the success of the previous meetings of this series, the 2004 RSC/SCI Flavour and Fragrance meeting is guaranteed to give industrialists and academics an up to the minute insight into this exciting industry.

The meeting will follow the successful format used in the previous meetings with a broad subject division including natural products, foods and flavours, perfumery and olfaction, and fragrance chemistry. Chemistry will be the central discipline of the meeting and will serve as the common strand for the majority of the sessions.
