Description

Recently there have been many exciting advances in the analytical tools and strategies applied in metabolomic studies, and an expansion of the range of areas in which this approach is being used.

This meeting brings together leading researchers who are exploiting major advances in chromatographic methods linked with powerful mass spectrometer detectors, as well as in NMR spectroscopy, and associated data manipulation and analysis tools. They are applying these methods in studies of the impacts of genetic modifi cation, disease, nutrition, and exposure to toxicants on metabolism in a wide range of organisms including micro-organisms, higher plants, and invertebrates. This symposium aims to provide an overview of the current position in some important areas, and insight into the direction in which this rapidly developing field is moving.
