Description

What can science and religion learn from each other?

Medicine and the faiths appear to be drawing closer in some areas. In placebo research and the increasing practise of complementary medicines; in the acknowledgment of the important role spiritual practices can have in healing and pain relief, and in the significance of trust in patient-doctor relationships. How might they work best together to ‘treat the whole person’.

Speakers include Michael King, professor of primary care psychiatry at University College London. Chaired by writer and broadcaster Zia Sardar.
