Description
The MRC Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry Centre (SGDP) is offering three courses to run in parallel over the week of 16th – 20th July, 2007 which cover concepts and methods for genetic studies of normal and abnormal behaviour, and are designed to promote an interdisciplinary approach. Teaching will take the form of seminars, practicals and discussion groups.
Please note the Bioinformatics for Geneticists is running in place of the Linkage and Association course this year. These courses will alternate with the Linkage and Association course running again next year.
What the week and courses involve
The week will consist of a series of general sessions, and a series of lectures and practical sessions which are specific to the chosen course: General sessions (common to all three courses) These morning sessions are intended to give conceptual overviews of genetic approaches to complex behavioural phenotypes and to provide discussions of recent advances and ways forward in the field.
You are warmly invited to various social events during the week. Dates and events as follows:-
