Description
This event is the second in a series of education events from the Good Homes Alliance. It will focus on the business case for sustainable homes, and how to make sustainability pay in the world of housing development and construction.
What is the market value for sustainable housing?
Do sustainable homes have to cost more?
Will people pay more for them- and how much?
How can the value of GHA homes be enhanced?
At this GHA event we’ll consider whole life value of sustainable housing– over the lifetime of the structures themselves and during the building ownership. We’ll go into the nitty-gritty of what sustainability features really cost, and the potential added value that can be achieved, as always using real life case studies to stimulate discussions on what actually works and what doesn’t deliver.
Building Good Homes also requires justification of the investment, so we will explore how buyer value, sustainable financing packages and fiscal incentives such as stamp duty can help build the case for sustainable homes, as well as presenting the latest, unpublished information about buyer demand for sustainability.
