Description

Steven Hall and Scarlett Thomas’s genre-bending fiction, known as ‘slipstream’, mixes science fiction, horror, fantasy, mystery and realism.

In Hall’s The Raw Shark Texts, a man is hunted by a psychic predator – a shark – in a strange blend of love story and adventure. Thomas’ The End of Mr Y combines time travel with gothic mystery in a journey into our deepest selves.

Toby Litt, author of Corpsing and Hospital, introduces the writers and talks to them about their work after the readings.
