Description

Whale sharks are the largest fish in the world, but these plankton-feeders are harmless giants. These bus-sized sharks swim thousands of kilometres each year in search of food, and regularly swim to well over a kilometre deep. But increasing demand for their meat and fins have led to overfishing and dramatic declines in their populations. Join us as we meet Simon Pierce who is researching whale sharks in southern Mozambique to obtain the information necessary to conserve this threatened species
