Description
More and more people are transforming themselves from media consumers to producers – using the new tools, software and technologies now at their disposal. An extension of TAKEAWAY, the Festival of Do-It-Yourself Media, this workshop will help you to understand what it’s all about and how to take part.
David Muth – a London based musician, programmer and artist – will introduce Processing – a free, open-source programming language and development platform aimed at “creatives” and very accessible for those with little previous experience. David will present a range of projects and custom made tools that use this software and provide ‘hands-on’ opportunities for you to play and experiment for yourselves. The main focus of this workshop will be on sound and attendees should bring their own laptop.
