Description

The development of a new fleet of nuclear power stations is a key part of the Government’s energy policy in order to ensure the UK meets its objectives for security of supply and the reduction of carbon emissions needed to meet climate change objectives. Already significant challenges are arising at the start of a programme that will take at least 10 years before the first power is generated. Hammonds, as a leading law firm has advised its clients on nuclear matters for over 15 years. Rupert will provide an insight into:
• The challenges to be overcome now and as the new build programme develops
• How the private sector can offset the risks involved
• Lessons that can be learned from other major capital projects
