Description

Prof Richard Neutze has recently been appointed Professor of Biochemistry at Goteborg University in Sweden following positions at both Uppsala and Chalmers University. His work focuses on membrane protein expression, purification, crystallisation and structure determination, as well as time-resolved X-ray diffraction studies.

A recent success in his group has been the structure of a plant aquaporin which provided new insights into the gating mechanisms of these important proteins, work which he will describe during his seminar.
