Hello New York!
I’m going to be in NYC in a few weeks, to participate in a panel at Columbia University’s Scholarly Communication Program. It’s about female bloggers in academia, and I’m representing the science blogosphere.
It’s free to attend, so if you’re at Columbia or thereabouts, and have some time to spare, please drop by (and say hi!)
The following bit is directly copy-pasted from the event website
Date: September 21, 2009 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM
Location: Columbia University, Morningside Campus, Lerner Hall Room 555
Contact: For further information regarding this event, please contact Kathryn Pope by sending email to kp2002@columbia.edu or by calling 212-851-2856.
Join a roundtable discussion, “A Blog of Her Own: Scholarly Women on the Web,” on Monday, September 21, 2009, at 12:30 pm in Alfred Lerner Hall Room 555 at Columbia University’s Morningside Campus. The event is sponsored by Columbia University’s Scholarly Communication Program, the Institute for Research on Women and Gender, and Women in Science at Columbia and will be moderated by Columbia professor and blogger Jenny Davidson.
