The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) provided $10.4 billion for the NIH. Although the ARRA was an important victory for researchers, we must continue the effort to support NIH funding. The Research Means Hope campaign aims to spur grassroots constituent support for NIH funding. You can be part of this campaign. Simply visit the Research Means Hope website and click on the “send your message” link at the top of the page and tell your members of Congress that you support annual increases in medical research funding. You can use the suggested text or add your own thoughts on funding for the NIH.
