From deciding who is doing the dishes to agreeing on a start-up package or starting salary, good negotiation skills are valuable for anyone and are becoming increasingly important as our work becomes more collaborative. Whether finding the confrontational aspects of negotiation stressful or not, most of us could likely improve our understanding of and ability to negotiate. Join us as Paul Cramer, a negotiation and mediation specialist and a co-founder of CMI Concord Group, and his brother Dr. Stephen Cramer, a professor at UC Davis and member of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory share with us some insights into negotiation and its application to our lives as scientists and professionals.
